"Go to the ticket booth" and you can start the Drive-in presentation with "DISTORTO™" or if you don't want to view it with this sound just use your players remote to change the audio channel and everything will come out in it's original mono sound.

"View Selections" and watch each film, cartoon or intermission clips seprately.

As your night at the Drive-In begins make sure to have some popcorn and goodies while viewing this disc because when they take you to the Concession Stand you will not be able to resist the mouth watering hot dogs, popcorn, pizza and fountain soda's. We then get a sneak peak at a coming attraction for "The Wasp Woman" another Drive-In Gem. Also included before our first feature is a Betty Boop cartoon entitled, "Betty in Blunderland" which is a take off of "Alice in Wonderland". A favorite of mine is included and that is the PIC commercial. The one with the little mosquito who dies when you light a PIC.

Elite's Drive-In Discs vol. 1: "The Giant Leeches"

Now IT'S SHOWTIME!!!
Our first feature up in this double bill is, "Attack of the Giant Leeches". An old man is in the lake and he is attacked by a giant...something? We are not quite sure what it is yet, but by the title alone you should be able to figure it out. Mistaken for an Alligator these Giant Leeches turn a small little hick town into a horror.
A Woman cheating on her husband is then taken out to lake with her lover by her husband at gun point. A Scream in terror and the two are gone. Did her husband kill them or was there something lurking in the depths of the water. Her husband swears up and down that he did not do it.. that it was a Monster. The towns folk believe him and a reward goes out for the recovery of the bodies.
Looking like an Octopus or more like one of the creatures from Sid and Marty Kroffts "Sigmund and the Seamonsters", these rubber Giant Leeches emerge and raise havoc on this quiet little town. The battle is on..Man Vs. Monster..One will survive..Who will win? Tune into this gem to find out its explosive ending.

Elite's Drive-In Discs vol. 1: Intermission Time!

It's now intermission time before our next feature begins. We're treated to some more Drive-in Ads and to another trailer.. This time it's, "Attack of the Giant Gilla Monster", followed by a Popeye cartoon. A good time to refill your popcorn bowl.
Elite did include a fun 10 minute countdown but can only be seen by via the "View Selections" menu.
I would have liked to have seen this "Countdown" included during the intermission break. But is a great addition to the disc.

Elite's Drive-In Discs vol. 1: The Screaming Skull

It's Showtime for our second feature "The Screaming Skull"

Any movie that begins with a warning and offers a free burial to anyone who dies of fright is okay with me. "The Screaming Skull" begins with newlyweds Eric and Jenny. The happy couple have just arrived home and Eric assures that the home is now filled again after the death of his recently departed wife.
We then meet with Mickey the gardener who seems to be very shy yet strange. Eric tells Jenny that Mickey and his deceased wife had a special bond and Mickey has had a hard time dealing with her death.
Once settled in the house Jenny begins to hear strange noises. While her husband is away on business she is awaken in the middle of the night by loud and disturbing sounds. She awakes and hears the sound of a woman crying. She goes searching through the large house and finds a skull placed on the floor outside her window. She screams in horror and Mickey is seen running into the woods. When her husband returns home, Jenny tells of the nightmare event that occurred in the house. Eric then goes to Mickey and threatens him to stop immediately.
As the plot thickens things get worse. Jenny finds another skull and faints in terror. The Ghost of her husbands wife is seen and Jenny is chased by this gruesome vision. Will she survive? Will you? Tune into this horror tale and don't forget to sleep with the lights on.

Elite has done an a fantastic job putting this DVD together. The picture quality on both feature films were not as great one would expect. I found them a little too dull looking but to me it just added to the realism of the way films had looked when they were thrown up onto that outdoor silver screen. This disc is a fun and enjoyable tribute to the great American Drive-In.
Elite is now in the works for another installment of this series "Drive-in Disc's vol.2" featuring "The Wasp Woman" and "The Giant Gilla Monster" ..Kudos to Elite.
