Director Bill Rebane who's previous film, “The Giant Spider Invasion”, now returns with a ten foot tall monster in “Monster A Go Go”. When an astronaut crashes he disappears from his cheesy spaceship and reins havoc in the quiet suburban countryside. Mutated and filled with radiation the monster scares sexy sun-bathers, strangles scientists, attacks twist party teens and spew's radiation that leaves his victims shriveled up like a dried prune. The military desperately tries to corner the monster, but will it be too late. Tune into this gem to find out how this surreal ending turns everything upside down.
Manly shown in Drive-In's in the Sixties and in the South, “Monster A Go Go”, though it has a great catchy title, is actually dull and lacking in fun and entertainment. The Monster played by Henry Hite looks like someone who just stepped off the set of “The Outer Limits” or “The Twilight Zone”, in this cheap low budget Sci-Fi lobotomy. In my opinion there was not enough Go Go Dancing and they could have done a much better job with the monster. This film is such a crazy mess that Bill Rebane the 1st director left the project and the great Herschell Gordon Lewis ("Blood Feast","Two Thousand Maniacs","Gore,Gore Girls","Gruesome Twosome" and "Alley Tramp") finished.

"PSYCHED BY THE 4D WITCH"

(1972)

Starring: Margo, Esoterica, Tom Yerian and Kelly Guthrie.

Directed By: Victor Luminera.

Not even Monster A Go Go could have prepared me for this very strange and bizzare film that deals with Sex and Witchcraft.
In this mind bending, psychedelic trip we meet innocent little Cindy who becomes possessed by a sex crazed spirit of a Salem witch named Abigal from the 17th Century. Meanwhile her brother becomes the “The King of Sex Vampires”.
“Psyched By the 4D Witch” is very, very, very visual with lots of psychedelic lights, eroticism and women in masks.
A very strange exploitation 'B' and art film combined in to one, Very 70's Warhol.
By the end I beleive the moral of this story is "Say no to Acid". "4D..." indeed.

Hint: I suggest you watch “Psyched by the 4D Witch” with the sound off while playing your own music...and a drink or two couldn't't hurt either. It would make a weird happening background at a party.

This Something Weird Video Double Feature is loaded with way out extras that are extra nice in this package. The two films “Monster A Go Go” and “Psyched by the 4D Witch” both have been Digitally Remastered. "Monster A-Go Go" looked great considering the age. "Psyched by the 4D Witch" looked as good as one would expect. Since a lot of the films that "Something Weird Video" find come from garage sales, Flea Markets and Trash Cans, "..Witch" looks great.
The Disc also contains Crackpot Trailers such as: “Blood Bath”, “Bourbon Street Shadows”, “Creatures of the Walking Dead”, “Eye's of Hell”. “Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster”, “Insect-O-Thon Midnight Show”, “Monster A Go Go”, “Psycosissimo”, “Something Weird”, “Tales of the Bizzare”, “Witchcraft” and “The Horror of it All”. Also a Nightmare becomes real in a homemade horror Short Subject: “Bedtime Booga Booga”. A Naked Girl is Attacked by Censor Blobs in Trippy Short Subject 2: “Pysched by the 2D Dot'. An evil psychiatrist, A Lesbian Maid, and a room full of monsters scare a Manhattan Socialite in the 36 minute featurette: “Driving Miss Daisy Crazy”. Also included on the disc is the Gallery of Horrorama Drive-In Exploitation Art with Radio Spot Rarities. All in all, total running time is over 3 1/2 hours long of Monsters and Mind Bending Madness!
Image did a very nice job with this DVD.
